The Marks family has been talking about updating their family photos since we met three years ago, and we finally made it happen! With Phoenix’s family visiting for the holidays and Zeke turning three next year, it was the perfect opportunity to get everyone together for some updated portraits.

We found a quiet little spot on base for their session, surrounded by snow and beautiful winter scenery. Despite the cold, we kept things moving with a mix of traditional family portraits and candid moments. Zeke is such a fun little character, and his love for his momma really shines through in these photos!

One of my favorite things about photographing extended families is getting to work with different groupings. From the entire family to individual families, the boys, and the girls, each combination brings out different personalities and interactions. It’s a great way to capture not just what a family looks like together, but the relationships that make them who they are.
